Seattle, Washington, March 9 2021 – Defined Crowd, the one stop-shop for Artificial Intelligence training data, is named one of the 2021 America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes for the second year in a row. 

DefinedCrowd is featured in 69^th place, among a total of 500 shortlisted companies. According to Forbes, America’s Best Startup Employers were selected based on an innovative methodology evaluating three key factors: employee satisfaction, employee reputation, and company growth. The final list recognizes the top 500 companies based on over 7 million data points.  

For DefinedCrowd’s VP of People, Teresa Nascimento, being named as one of America’s Best Employers is “humbling, and a confirmation that we’re heading towards the right direction, while growing at a fast pace.” During the last year, the People team at DefinedCrowd implemented several initiatives to tackle the challenges brought by COVID-19. “With the pandemic, we had to adjust several processes to ensure our employees were feeling fully supported in these new times of uncertainty.”, said Teresa Nascimento.  

With more than 300 employees across four different locations, DefinedCrowd has welcomed 120 new employees last year. “On a regular year, growing the employee base of a scale up is already challenging. With the additional challenges posed by the pandemic, it was imperative to adapt the processes and to make sure the distance and limitation of personal contact would not affect our teams” added Nascimento.
